Hey Guys, We got an I-797 letter last week saying that our file was approved on 7/25 and sent to NVC, BUT later we got an email and text message saying that it was sent to NVC on 8/1. Also when we enter our receipt number online https://egov.uscis.gov/ (to check on the status), it says file was sent NVC on 8/1, which is different from the date stated on the letter we got from USCIS! I know the difference is only a few days, but which one should we go by? Thanks!

Either.......it is not important.....allow about 6 weeks (mid Sept)  to actually get there.

Interesting! I think "6 weeks" is worst case, as know someone who got approved on 7/24 and NVC received their file on 8/1! Thanks!

4 to 6 weeks is a "proper expectation".  The files are sent in batches.  Your "someone" got lucky and was one of the last files added to the batch.
