Is my processing center Nebraska if I mailed to an AZ address? Also, what do if they again don't pay attention to the new address?

So... I finally sent off my ROC packet (2 months into the window, ugh) and now I have more dumb questions.

 

1) The instructions are to send to an AZ address. When I go to check processing times, I assume I should check Nebraska Service Center? Or should I just chill and wait for NOA?

 

2) Kinda related - they already haven't noted my change of address. I know this because I was expecting it, and because they sent the filing reminder to my old address. I got it because we still had mail forwarding, but now it's been more than a year since we moved, so no more forwarding. Now, I did call them after I got that mail forward and asked how I can make sure they have our new address, and the agent said that as long as we have the new address on the form it's all good. Do they go by what's on the form or by what they randomly pull up in one of their databases? Should I call them if I don't get anything a couple of weeks after they charge my card?

Okay, so these were indeed dumb questions... I guess everything sent to the two lockboxes now gets forwarded to whichever service center has capacity at that particular moment...

 

Also, took a look at a couple of timelines of July filers and looks like NOA is issued within a week of filing. So yea, if I don't get anything 2 weeks from today (when the packet was delivered) I'll have to call. From what I understand, G-1145 only applies for initial AOS but not for ROC. And while I do have an account with USCIS, I can't go through verify identity until I receive NOA (I think). Hopefully that account updates with the new case (doubtful) or I'll get the NOA.

 

I feel like I'm more confused now than I was during AOS.

Since roc applications are now sent to lock boxes, you could’ve sent a g1145 to get a electronic receipt notice.

 

you will only be able to check your case once you have a case number and you’ll only get the number with the receipt notice which you’ll get by mail so having an account with uscis won’t do you any good right now as you need to input your case number to get updates

Like p-ana said, you'll only be able to track your case once you receive your NOA. The first three letters of your case number will tell you at which center your case is being processed, and then you can check processing times for that specific center. Sit back and relax! It's gonna be a long wait for all of us! Join the August ROC filers to have an idea of how other people's cases are moving along.

I think it's that I didn't send the G-1145, plus the fat that we've moved and mail forwarding has ended now, and now I'm all worried. I felt much better when I was able to track case status online during AOS (however unreliable their online system is). Oh well! I'll just wait for NOA I suppose...

You’ll be able to check once you get the receipt number so it’s going to be just like aos.

 

I’ve been waiting for over 13 months now just FYI. Seems like they’re speeding up on more recent filers but it’s best to be ready for the waiting

I'm mean, I'm not worried about waiting for approval at the moment. I'm nervous about them possibly sending correspondence to the old address without me knowing that there is correspondence.
