Hello i am at the NVC stage and i have to submit the Urdu nikanama and its English translation to Ceac but the problem is both the Urdu nikanama and its English translation papers are really large they are not normal size paper so it’s really hard to scan without cutting out parts of the page in the scan which they will reject has anyone went thru this problem? And if so i need suggestions what I should do so i can upload these documents the interview will be at Islamabad Pakistan embassy thank you

Do you know why the scan cuts off and have you checked the scanner settings? If that doesn't work, maybe try to scan them in 2 parts and submit it as 2 "pages"

  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

 

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Try to use a scanner than feeds the paper through and not a glassbed scanner. Glassbed scanners only scans 8x11 and smaller. The feeder will allow you to scan legal size documents. My hubby scanned our nikanama doing that and emailed it to me. The whole page came up in one scan. 

 

Just be sure that there is no creases or folds. Anything that is cut off will result in resubmitting it again. Hope that helps!

Yes it does help alot but you know the translation document is on a huge paper its only cutting out the green borders on top and bottom but its not cutting any text or information and has your husband went to interview yet?

We don’t have borders on our nikanama docs so I can’t say if nvc will have a problem with it or not but as long as the texts are visible on both the urdu and English I think you should be good. 

 

And no still waiting for an interview date. Inshallah we will get something soon. Best of luck!

Hi, you can use NADRA issued nikkah namma, it’s one page document and covers both Urdu and English. I submitted same to USCIS for my parents I-130 and now Waiting for NVC to approve documents.
