Does the petitioner need to mail the form to beneficiary?

Hi everyone,

Does the NVC send a form to the petitioner to say that they have received the packet and when the beneficiary would have to go for the interview? Also does the petitioner need to mail that form to the beneficiary?

For K-1 all you will get from NVC is a letter with the case file number once the case file is sent to the embassy.    The letter may direct you to the embassy website, or general instructions.   My suggestion is to go to the embassy website and find the section on visa processing.

The embassy will e-mail the petitioner when it receives the packet from NFC. The first e-mail will list all the requirements for the interview, and will ask you to let them know when you are ready for the interview. Once you tell them you're ready, they'll schedule it.
