We just got scheduled on the 4th.    We are November 2017 filers....

This feels like a kick in the teeth.

Anyone else experience this situation?

“On July 16, 2019, we cancelled your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and mailed you a cancellation notice.

We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you.

Please follow any instructions in the notice.

If you do not receive your notice by August 15, 2019, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice.

If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.”

There is something going on with the USCIS appointments software.

People who have been approved and already received the GC, are getting letters and notifications informing them of new interviews and cancelling the interview they had months ago!

You can always call customer service, ask for a Tier 2 and inquire about this.

Thank you! I just noticed that.

You could get your approval without having to go to the interview. Just wait for the status change or call USCIS asking about the reason of canceling the appt in case was a system glitch.

Good luck.

We hope so.   That would be nice to get to the next stage.  Nov 2107 filing and still waiting is pretty crazy.

I know someone who had this too, it turned out their interview was rescheduled. Usually you get an update pretty quick after.

If you did not hear anything yet, best to reach out to USCIS to see what's going on.

We hope so .  I just hope we don’t have to wait another 7 months for a new date.

I would call on Monday. It happens that an officer takes vacation or gets sick and they have to reschedule all the interviews for that officer, but usually you hear something pretty quick. On Monday they should be able to tell you on the phone why it's cancelled and what's next. Good luck, hope you have your interview soon!
