Hi, I have also been to the US to visit my husband several times during the USCIS stage and just arrived while case is at NVC. No issues, only the routine questions. I think the officers see an immigration case is pending but not the details, so he did ask if my husband is in US on a visa or a citizen and how long we've been married. I travel on ESTA.

Glad to hear he got a renewal ok. I (UK citizen) have travelled twice to US on my existing ESTA since our CR1 application has been in. Few questions asked last time and I was honest that i'm visiting my husband. I am worried though that perhaps I won't get a new ESTA when mine runs out in Jan. Anyone else here had success with renewal?

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Know exactly what address you'll be staying at, how many days, and know the previous dates you've visited the United States- also knowing how many days those trips were.

I've never been denied entry, but definitely asked those questions. BE HONEST at the border. Tell them you'll be visiting your spouse.

These are exactly the questions I was asked. So I guessed they could see I had immigration pending. It was enough to make me feel nervous, but I was allowed entry.
