Hi Guys,

So my spouse and I got our visas approved on the 19th June then on the 21st I got an email to pick up my visa which I did at DHL expecting that I will pick that of my spouse too cos we applied and went for the interview together. But that of my spouse was not in so I followed up to check her status and it was AP. Then on the 26th June the status changed to Application Recieved. Please can any one with experience help? Really worried

Hi. Even if you were interviewed together it doesn't mean that they will treat your cases as one. It will still be processed separately. AP can take several days, weeks, or even months. No one can say when it'll come. Just be patient. Best of luck!

Yes even for b1/b2 visa. They still have to conduct background checks etc especially for high fraud and high risk countries. That's why the embassy doesn't want applicants to purchase airline tickets until they have the visa on-hand. And they also advise to apply 3 months prior to their planned departure date.
