Good Morning,

I'm asking for a friend... Quick background - Her and her husband (stationed in Germany) married last year and are getting ready to file for her Visa.

She has a daughter from previous relationship but sole custody so no issues there.

What Forms does she have to file for her and her daughter? Is it the I130 twice or is it the K3 for the kid? Any inside, tipps and tricks would be greatly appreciated!
Just trying to help her out a little :)

Assuming the husband is a US citizen then two I-130s would be required, one for the wife and one for the daughter.

Yes he is. So would she be sending both packets together for daughter and her or does that have to be sent in separately?

You can send them together, just don't forget the two sets of documents and separate fees for each application.

Correct, but the US Citizen really needs to do the homework himself.  Start by clicking on the word guides at the top of any page here.  There is much more to know than which form and how many of them.  Download and become A-Student of the form instructions.
