I don't post much, but have used this site for research throughout the long K-1 process.  Beyond the help I've been able to find here, this site helped provide me a bit of sanity be being able to look up similar timelines, posts about similar topics of interest, etc...

Thank you everyone for the community spirit, help, and moral support!

My fiancé had her interview today, June 20, and received approval at the interview.  We'll wait for the passports with visas and start the next part of this journey.

Thanks again!

Ed.

Congrats!

How difficult was it to schedule the interview? Is there a long wait time?

The wait time wasn't very long. Two weeks for us, however we could have had an earlier appointment if the medical was completed.

The "hard" part was constantly checking. If you log into the site too many times in a day you get locked out. So, she would log in a couple times during the day, theb call a few times a day.

Apparently there's no actual "schedule" they give. Rather, they give you a date and time, or they don't. Once the medical was scheduled, we then kept trying to schedule until we had an interview date assigned.

In all, simple and timely; only patience required like the rest of the process.

I hope this helps.

Hmm.

Usually in Moscow you schedule the interview first and then schedule the medical a few business days before that. Or at least that's what we did (so she did both medical and interview on the same trip to Moscow ... and the next time she was in Moscow she got on a flight to LA).

If the timing would have worked we'd have done the same. The initial interview date offered was June 4 which was too soon compared to the medical appointments available. One trip to Moscow would have been way better than two, haha.

Next up, LA as well. Cheers!
