Not really. Could call but won't get specific information I'm sure. It's probably something pretty simple or they want a new copy of something. Just be patient.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Sometimes you can call USCIS and ask for a tier 2 officer and if they are cordial they may fax it to you or read it to you over the phone. But also most of them just tell you to wait on the notice in the mail. It's a 50/50 chance that they will tell you. Some people have mentioned that they are going out of town or country and won't be around to receive the RFE. I am in no means suggesting you do that if it does not apply to you!!!!!

Citizenship Complete!

When you receive an RFE (Request For Evidence) the best way to handle the RFE is to read it carefully. Do ONLY what it says. DON"T add tons and tons of unnecessary documents. It's not needed and will NOT help your case. The adjudicator has already made up their mind about your case and if you do what they ask then they are going to approve your case. Of course if something in your past is hanging up the approval, hence the RFE then what you return will answer the question(s) that the Adjudicator has.

They have completed most of what they need to approve your case with the exception of the answer to the RFE thay are sending you.

 

Its kind of an easy concept to understand because if they were going to deny your application why would they ask for a document that won't change the outcome.  But since they feel that the information from your reply to their RFE will help them in a positive way hence the RFE. 

 

So what do you say? You understand my original response now?
