Silly question - Use of Aliases in Social Media - Does it count?

On form DS-260 for the beneficiary there's a question about usage of other names including aliases. I'm assuming they're talking about officially using a different name (i.e. on official docs). Correct? using Skype or Facebook aliases doesn't count. Right? Thanks.

On the "alias" question yes, though it doesn't have to be on official docs if it is a name you are usually known by in a particular context. (Think for example a married woman who never changed her name on anything official but is anyway known as "Mrs marriedname" in social circles)

The DS260 has now been updated to include social media history so that will be in there anyway.

unless this is the new extension form for added ds5535 and asks for all social media ID's used

i believe they implemented the new ds 260 Friday and all social media including all cell phones used ,  all Id's used among all travel within last 5 years 

Now ,   NVC will do the investigations and it will add about a year to that part of the process

one post i saw (not here) said a man was denied as he did not put all cell numbers that he could use like other family members and he was caught talking to multiple women on multiple dating sites while proposing to a USC
