All places I've "resided" since 18th birthday

I'm at this part: Provide all U.S. states and foreign countries in which you have resided since your 18th birthday.

I asked a similar question about this about the past 5 years of address history.

I am anxious about this question because over the last few years i travelled a lot to many countries.  I stayed in each country for 2-3 months at various addresses.  It seems like that would qualify as residing in a foreign country in which case I would have a pretty long list.  But if i list all these countries here and then don't list all the addresses in the "past 5 years address history" section, it seems like it would look off.  Should I just use my permanent American address?  All my stuff, bank, drivers license, tax forms etc, go to that address.  I'm worried I could interpret this wrong and it could seem like I am lying or withholding information.

2 to 3 months is not really enough time to establish a permanent residence. Personally, I would list any address where I stayed for more than 6 months, for the rest of the time use your permanent American address. Good luck.
