Hi!

I was wondering if you could tell me how can we able to see CO in order to talk to him? How could we make the appointment?

We were recently at the consulate for another matter (non immigrant related) and my wife who is the petitioner was denied to see anybody from immigration. She was told to write an email, which she did but of course nobody responded to it (just the automated reply).

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Cheers

She can schedule an appointment

Derik did and flew to Morocco to talk to one

but he got no answers

These appointments are for U.S. Citizen Services only. In order to provide all routine and emergency services for U.S. citizens in Morocco, The American Citizen Services section cannot address queries or complaints regarding non-immigrant visa refusals or immigration visa cases.  For visa-related inquires, U.S. citizens must write support-morocco@ustraveldocs.com or call (703) 520-2245 in the U.S. or +212 (0)520-48-50-13 in Morocco regarding non-immigrant visa issues. Regarding immigrant visa issues, U.S. citizens must write ivcasablanca@state.gov for assistance

Thanks for this answer,

I am applying for the CR1 visa . In some forums, some petitioners said that they went directly to speak to the immigration officer about the case at the consulate. I was wondering how those petitioner who were able to meet up with the immigration officer at the consulate were able to do it. My wife tried to speak to an officer but she was denied and was told instead to send an email (which of course there was no reply).

some consulates the USC can go in and speak to the CO  but not in casa

you will see above it says that scheduling an appointment is not for any immigration  cases or refuse immigrant cases

you must prove in the interview "ON YOUR OWN" that your relationship with your spouse is to be with her

to do this you must be completely familiar with her and her family knowing every little and big thing about her life

you must be confident for the interview

Casa takes this very seriously so you must do that too

good luck

Basically when you apply for a visa the process includes being interviewed so when you get to that point is when you talk to a CO.

Important to remember that they are interviewing you. They are not there for you to talk to.

thank you for your response. I did have the interview and it went well according to the officer. Proving the legitimacy of our marriage/relationship is not the issue here as we do have a child together. It relates more to the fact that my wife the petitioner lives here with me and not in the US (it is a deliberate choice as we wanted to be together because of our child). We did provide evidence of he permanent relationship with the US and also have a co-sponsor. It has been
A while since the interview (9 months) especially that they took my passport and I wanted to have an update and also provide any further information in order to move on with the process.

Send an email to the consulate is your only option.  AP can go on for a long time, so try and forget about it and wait, patience is your friend.  At least you're living with your spouse so you're not waiting apart.

Probably stuck in background checks for the beneficiary.
