Hello all - I’m always confused to use green card when I’m traveling and getting back to the US with Global Entry kiosk.

It’s a simple question but I am not sure how to place my green card face up or face upside down on the readable glass.

I thought its the same way with passport and understand the passport will be placed in reverse side so it becomes to face upside down so I think that’s the 2nd picture from below?

Appreciate you advice!

Thank you!

@Minniejpalways place the backside of your GC (with the barcode) on the readable glass of the biometric kiosk.

I often have trouble with the machine reading the card ... even when it’s placed correctly .. so if it’s not reading it, choose the screen option to be identified by inputting the GC number

@MXcompadre and @Lil bear Thank you so much for your prompt response and the option.

So that means I should have the GC with the backside (barcoded side) place down on the readable glass!

And face up? Or face upside down?

Turn it over so picture side is up ... barcode is down ... and the picture will go closest to the back of the machine. Slide the card towards the back of the glass face

Now , cross fingers and  toes and hold your breath!!

Ask one of the attendants if you need to .. I did ! They are really usually very helpful
