I751 Feb 2019 Filer, No Biometrics Notice, Travel Questions

Hello Everyone!

My husband and I filed our form I751 at the end of February 2019 to remove the conditions on my Greencard and I haven't yet received my biometrics notice. Has anyone else been waiting equally long? The California Service center is processing our application 😃

I also have a question regarding travel and would appreciate any insight that anyone has to offer 😃

We were planning a 2-3 month trip to Switzerland this summer, but are nervous about traveling since the biometrics notice could come at any time. For anyone who has already received their notice, what is the typical time span between receiving the notice and the actual appointment? We are thinking of going on the trip and taking the risk of having to fly back early in case we do receive the biometrics notice. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Does anyone have any insights to share?

Thank you so much!!

I received biometrics about 6 weeks after filing, and the notice gave 6 calendar days notice before the appointment.

Thank you so much for the response and this info, really appreciate it 😃

No problem!  I didn’t have any plans and was still ticked there was less than a weeks notice.  They really do not care at all about how disruptive this process can be to our lives.

Similar situation.  The biometrics request came almost 5 months after we filed with about 10 days notice.  So it can come anytime and the notice was not long at all.

If you go on a trip before biometrics, you'll want to make sure someone is monitoring your mail for you.
