Hi guys, I'm not familiar with the forum here, maybe you can help me:

1. Do I start a new topic every time I have a question about my K1 application or should I stick within just one thread?

2. From USCIS website I should be filing my I-129 at Dallas, Taxes, is that correct?

  1. If it's related to or a continuation of another thread, then it's best to keep it in the existing thread. The commenters there would already be familiar with the history, and new members to the thread can read the history there. If it's an entirely new topic, a new thread is fine.
  2. The I-129F (I-129 is a petition for an alien worker) is filed at the Dallas lockbox. See https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f. The precise address to use varies based on how you are sending it.
    1. Note that this is the lockbox facility that receives the packet. The I-129F will be sent to CSC for actual processing (it's not processed at the Texas Service Center...that's a separate facility than the lockbox).

1. Thank you!

2. Is it better to file it through FedEx or UPS than USPS? Just curious about the chances of them losing my package.

I would recommend USPS 2-3 day priority mail with delivery tracking

YMMV

How you send it is personal preference. I did the USPS Priority Mail flat rate envelope. From PA to TX only took 2 days still.

I've had both lost and damaged items from all 3 carriers. It happens - the process has a lot of steps involving human hands on the item. But that's the exception, not the norm.

Thank you guys. One more question: We're about to send I-129F form out, according to the checklist and USCIS, this is all I need to give them for the first package:

1. Payment to USCIS

2. Cover letter

3. Form I-129F

4. Original statement

5. Proof of how we met in the past 2 years

6. One passport photo for both of us

7. Copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate

Am I missing anything? And do we need to provide anything to proof that we're both single?

4: I'm assuming you mean the letters of intent to marry? This should be 1 signed letter from each of you, or you can use 1 letter signed by both of you.

Other documents may be required depending on your circumstances (arrest/court documents, divorce decrees, evidence of name changes, etc.).

If you met through a dating service, it may or may not be necessary to include evidence that they are not an IMB. Some IOs tend to be more strict with this than others.

Generally, no documents verifying the singleness of either individual are required. More specifically, there is no such document proving you are free to marry (only that there's no record at x registry of a marriage...which is not the same as proving you are single).

Evidence of a bona fide relationship may or may not be helpful to include. I don't know if/how Taiwan's COs look through the case before the interview.

With some countries, it's unnecessary. With others (high fraud embassies), it's highly advised to provide evidence at every opportunity you can.

You are missing 2 letters of intent to marry within 90 days. One from beneficiary, one from petitioner.

See https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf?download=1 and read what evidence to include.

Also make sure you are paying attention to this "within last 2 years" part. Pictures alone are usually not sufficient to prove the timeline.

Go through your 129F and make sure ALL relevant boxes are checked. Criminal, and IMBRA.

Thank you all for the reminders! My apology that I should've provided more details:

- Yes, we both have a letter of intent to marry.

- I have completed the I-129F form and both of us have not been married and we don't have any criminal record.

- We do have plane tickets, passport stamps and other materials to present other than the photos.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything :)
