How long is it taking for people to get their passports back after the CR1 interview? Also, any information on what the time difference is for if you pay for it to be expedited vs not?

I am interested in this too as I need my passport for my daily work. I didn't realize you could pay to have it expedited.

You should have seen it when you booked your interview at the embassy? It was like $21.00 to have it expedited. I think it said within 3 days? But can't remember exactly.

I haven't had the interview yet.

just to update everyone.. my husband did NOT choose to get it expedited.. we had our interview on Monday and got the passport with the visa in it on Thursday. He lives in Ontario.

Hi, our consulate is also in Montreal and I was wondering how long it took to receive an interview date after you submitted DS-260 and AOS documents. How about from interview approval to receiving the passport?

it took exactly 1 month after all supporting documents and DS-260 were approved to get the interview date and the date was about 3 weeks out.. after the interview approval my husband got his passport back in 3-4 days. We did not choose to expedite it.
