Yes, it is a crime. He was walking home and the police stopped him and searched him and he had a knife so they arrested him. He paid a fine, so we are wondering if this will prevent him from receiving the K1 Visa. The embassy kept his visa and is requesting the arrest record from the courts.

I only know what Cammy45 wrote 😊 in Denmark there're areas called visitation zones (high crime areas but not like in the US) where police can randomly search anybody and carrying any kind of weapon including a knife is not allowed ... there can be exceptions though
