Hello,

It all depends if you do the interview at the American embassy in Paris, or in another country.

If I understand well, all the NVC paperwork have to be either in english, or in the langage of the country you are going to have your interview in.

Quote

"All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC''

(For I-130, I didn't submit a translation of our french marriage certificate, I submitted the only the ''acte de mariage plurilingue''.)

Hello,

thank you for your answer 🙂

The interview will be at the US embassy in Paris .

i already have the marriage certificate , birth verticale translated .

so I will make translate all my graduations certificates because I lost the originals and the French “rectorat “ (éducation administration in France ) provides me the success certificates .

For the police report I suppose I will have to make it translate too even if the lines are empty .

thank you again for your help and have a good day !

Hi,

The french paperwork should be fine since you will go to the interview in France. No need for translation.

But, why are you translating the graduation certificates? Do you need those for the CR1 Visa?

(My I-130 just got approved by USCIS, so I'm waiting for the transfer at the NVC, but I didn't see anything about school certifications?)

Hello, congrats on your approval. How did you do it? It only took you a few months. Any tips for us newly filed?

It’s like I am waiting forever but thanks god my husband is here in France with me .

You are right it’s too long already but the timelines are now from 7.5 to 10moth for

the Nebraska service center . He  is the slowest so I am still “on time “ for them ..

but i really hope I will have something very soon that’s why I get ready for the NVC stage . In order to not loose time lol

i hope to receive something before June but my VJ timeline is now in July ..

VJ is a very good place to have good advises and support you will see !

True. This is very helpful. I just wish they do something about this problem. It takes too long and the separation from loved ones is no joke.
