Hi, welcome! Chicago is the lockbox you sent your petition to, it is not a service center. Your service center will be listed on your NOA1 receipt that you got in the mail. Every service center is at a different speed in terms of processing. You can find approximate times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/.

My service center, for example, which is Texas (SRC), is currently taking 7-9 months and has just begun adjudicating petitions submitted in August 2018.

Good luck!

CR1 Visa Timeline

Texas Service Center

10th August 2018: I-130 Petition Filed

15th August 2018: I-130 Payment taken

23rd August 2018: NOA1 Received

The ONLY thing you can do is to make sure the paperwork is correct when you send it.....then, relax, stay busy, and study, study, study for the next step......

Hi. Unfortunately there's no way to speed up the process. As the first member responding stated, your service center is listed on your receipt notice. Hopefully it was sent anywhere but Nebraska, as that seems to be the slowest moving service center at the moment. Mine was also sent to Texas and we received our approval 6 months and 6 days from the date of filing. As missileman says, just focus on gathering paperwork for the next step (NVC stage).
