Volunteering in Canada whilst waiting for NOA2.

I live in the UK and was hoping to get a visa to volunteer in Canada while I wait for the NOA2, so me and my USC fiancee can visit each other more easily and more often. 

Could this affect our K1 visa application or look suspicious to the USCIS? Is it best to wait out the time here in the UK?

A working visa to Canada may be an easier task.  Many commonwealth countries do it.  

 

It wont affect your K1.

Volunteering in Canada will not affect your K1.

 

Entry into the US on the VWP may be a problem.  Visitors are to have strong ties to home to overcome the presumption of immigrant intent.  When entering the US from Canada on the VWP, what would be your strong ties to the UK?  That could be problematic if you set yourself up in Canada on a temporary basis.  

 

Where in the US does your fiance live?  Where in Canada do you intend to visit and volunteer in?
