It is the J-1 Program.   They use it here in Arizona often as there is a significant shortage.

I'm surprised public school districts have the money to fund the legal fees and sponsor visas......

There are a few public school districts in the list. But I suspect overall the teaching jobs via this route are pretty few and far between. Probably more importantly for OP, it seems that someone using a J visa to teach has to leave the US for 2 years once the program is finished, before being able to do it again.

International schools do but they normally use the H1b, anyway Employer decides. Schools maybe nobody wants to teach in.

For marriage,

Same sex couples.  They have decriminalized parts of same sex relationships but not marriage.

Different religions and cultural reasons as well.

Same sex K1 can be obtained in India. Someone was granted one very recently.

But this thread is about changing from a B2, and of course OP has opted not to chime in about his teacher friend since the original post.

I never expected a return.

Of course.. I see this (aos/cos from a b2) in elevated frequency on other India-centric forums too.

some of the folks here are confused but it does not matter. Actually B1/B2 was a old post and it was done.

Now the new question is for a experienced teacher friend who is on visit here and looking to get knowledge of oppurtunities and possibilities for which i got nice answers from other folks here. Some one other than this forum also inform about EB-2 / EB-3 option.

Thank you all.

EB is an immigrant visa classification.

Anyway like I mentioned before needs an Employer willing to petition her, so has she got a job offer? Where is she in the process.

Glad the forum was able to help out with those nice answers. Perhaps your teacher friend would be leaving for the home country at the conclusion of their visit to teach back home.

Interesting option. Is your friend, like the flag on your profile, from India? If so it may interest you to know that the current priority dates for EB2 and EB3 for India are April 2009 and June 2009, respectively. Not sure whether either your friend or the potential school your friend will work for would want to wait 10 years to start?  If your friend is not from India then it isn’t an issue. (Well a bit if Chinese,  that’s around 3-4 years.) https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2019/visa-bulletin-for-april-2019.html
