Here's the information on how to obtain the police certificate : Applicants need to contact the Deputy Inspector General, Criminal Investigation Department, Nigeria Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The police report is issued from Lagos but you can apply for it from any state. Just go to your local police department and ask for it. There's info online about how to do it and what it should look like. 

 

It may be more expensive and it'll take longer because your info will need to be sent to Lagos. 

 

Mine took about two weeks to come. I've heard that it can be done the same day in Lagos.

 

Be sure to submit the fingerprints along with the certificate to NVC/embassy.
