Now you've got me curious to try Bass in the UK. Maybe my tastebuds are all screwy but over the years, I've always been impressed with it's flavor compared to other beers out there (certainly better IMO than Newcastle).

Its an Englishman thing, I'm sure. I know plenty of American who like Bass ale, but I've yet to meet a Brit who likes it. Newcastle is weird here as it comes on tap. You can't even get Newcastle on tap in Newcastle itself.

They have actually expanded quite a bit, having a brewery in Tampa now. Still the East Coast I know!

The funny thing is that Lager is cheaper to buy in Florida than it is in PA.

The funny thing is that Lager is cheaper to buy in Florida than it is in PA.

I just dont know why they refuse to ship to the west coast. I tried to special order it here on base. Normally they can get pretty much any brand of beer you can think of, even some European brands. I got a call 2 days later saying that Yeungling only ships to the eastern seaborg. I was shattered.

Also in Wisconsin there's a microwbrewery called New Glarus and I love their stuff, especially Spotted Cow (woot!). Maybe just for the WI pride though... it's been awhile.

I also am easily drawn in by packaging for many microwbrews, such as Wasatch of Utah's Polygamy Porter with the slogan "Why have just one?" Hehehehe.... I am such a sucker for ####### like that. Let's not forget He'Brew the chosen beer.
