Just have received a mail from the agency helping us to fill the forms.

They claim that USCIS requires 2018 tax transcripts from 1st of March! As we all know the deadline for filing taxes is 15 th of April. In our case , my husband still doesn’t have all documents collected and can’t fill till the beginning of April.

So what is the right information and how could they demand things we are not able to provide yet, but we will in the lawful time frame.

We are both concerned and worried.

Fire that stupid agency. Absolutely false information.

Additionally, when you have a great resource like this forum - why would you ever go to an agency?

I thought that might be false . I have hired them as we didn’t  dare to fill ourselves , must admit. Now is too late to fire them . Thank you ,now we feel released.

We will send what we have . I think this is the worst time to send forms.

We will definitely bring 2018 to our interview.

There is not right or wrong time. Make sure that you explain in your cover letter that you will file your 2018 taxes in April. Good luck.

Yes I will of course explain. That is the plan .

Thank you so much and good luck to you too (can’t see your immigration status from the phone)

Any evidence of this?

Yes exactly. Why would they send me an RFE if I send my AOS package before 15 th of April?

Why the deadline is 15 th of April if the taxes need to be filled earlier? And why to send a package later . As I have said , that is the worst time to send a AOS package as they ask what we can’t provide yet .

They want to see the most current tax filing.

If you can provide it great if not then send it in and see what they say...

Worst case scenario is you will get an RFE just like me.

I filed taxes sent it in and my AOS was back on track.

I don’t want an RFE so will have ( unfortunately) to wait a bit . But , according to my “ luck “ they might send an RFE for something else .

Wish you luck at your journey!
