Advice Obama Care/Public Charge!

We applied for my mom for adjustment of status, we are living in Houston, my mom is sick and we have not health insurance, we are think for Obama Care but recently we show there is a change in Public Charge definition.

 

We have few question/request for advice!

 

Is Obama care subsidy fall under public charge?

 

Any idea how we can get health insurance in cheap price?

Immigrants are eligible to use the federal and state exchanges (ObamaCare). It is not defined as being a public charge. You must provide evidence of her legal status to use it - an NOA1 for AOS, an EAD, or a green card will do. Alternatively you can sign up for any insurance provider in your state privately without having to deal with the government. It will cost you either way. There are typically no real savings provided to the average person using Obamacare. Use of the subsidy really depends on many factors, and most do not qualify. If your mom is sick, depending on what it is, I'd suggest taking her for treatment as soon as possible. There are minute clinics in most towns these days that offer decent care and insurance is not a requirement as long as you can pay.
