glad to hear its a doddle, im assuming most of the background checks have really been done prior to interview so theyre not really looking for anything in particular and they just want to have a quick face to face for the interview.

Literally just that, ticking boxes. The questions asked pretty much came from the story of how we met on the initial application and it's a breeze. By a million miles the nicest part (if that's the best word) of this whole thing

Many checks come after the interview. There are multiple databases to check watch lists of names, fingerprint collections, facial recognition...even social media if warranted.

I'm hoping my ugly mug doesn't flag too many things up and social media...there's only so many "Countdown to holiday" and funny cat videos one person can watch before giving up

I’m just out for 2.5 weeks - we’re using this time to meet with officiants, go suit shopping for Herschell and pick a florist (wedding tasks) and spend a couple of days at Disney 🙂.

So I'm a couple of days in now and so so happy! Flight was ok, POE a little tedious as security was slow, but the officer was nice and not too stressful!

 

Pasadena is just beautiful, I love it here. We've been grocery shopping this morning and I've signed up at the gym already so we've been there the last couple of days, we went for lunch with Bobby's family on Sunday and then this weekend we will catch up with friends, catch a movie and just enjoy actually spending our weekend together! The weather is beautiful today, I've been out for a wander this afternoon and now sat in a coffee shop about to look at getting my forms filled out for social security application.

 

Ah I'm so excited for you! So much to sort but all so so exciting! Hopefully the beautiful weather is here to stay now, ready for your trip 🙂

Glad you’re settling in ok 🙃. Herschell told me it’s been in the 80s, so I can’t wait for some sun!

 

When are you heading to Vegas for the big day? Have you booked the ceremony? X
