In my opinion, the reason USCIS provides such wide processing time estimates and gives such vague answers and information is to avoid having any accountability. They can basically be as incompetent as they want to and do anything they want with our applications and there's nothing we can do about it. As we all know, it shouldn't take 30 days to mail something or enter something into a system, but they give these wild estimates so that even if they completely mishandle it, they can probably make it by this time. Also, with such huge estimates, it greatly pushes off the time until we can complain...and then once we have waited this already ridiculous amount of time, they usually will just double the estimate and say to check back in another 30 days or 6 months. I know it's a difficult job, but I still can't help to think most of these people should be fired for incompetance. I wish we could just have some real companies compete to do this same job...then we'd be seeing it run the way it should be and probably wouldn't have more than a week wait for the whole process. Forgive the rant, but this is frustrating to no end.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Hi LvivLovers...

I totally second your thoughts and insights. This process indeed has been so frustrating for me too and I m sure its the same case for others here on VJ but dont loose heart, we 'll get there.

When I received NOA1 for my wife's I-129F and read that it will take USCIS anywhere from 60 days to 180 days to adjudicate the app, I laughed cynically and thought to myself that these ppl are so good at covering their rear in order to prevent us from taking any action against them, atleast in the initial waiting months of the app. Anyways... Good luck to you and all of us here at VJ for a speedy VJ.

tc and regards

:thumbs:A Big Congrats to YOU and YOUR LOVE!!!

I sent my I-129F a week after you. Really encouraging when I hear good news like this. I was so nervous at first to send out I-129F without receiveing NOA1 for I-130 (in which has not arrived yet.. because last I heard..it was never really sent out...Ahhhh...shame on USCIS for misleading info) Anyway.. let us know if your check was cleared. I impatiently called to see if mine was..but it wasn't..too soon I know

Urge,

Have you received any confirmation(email or snail mail) from CSC that they have received your I-129F from MSC/NBC and is pending there now?

I 've been tracking my I-129F closely for about last two weeks now and it looks like I still dont have any confirmation from CSC about they receiving my case from MSC. I somewhat remember that either you were in some kind of similar situation recently or maybe still are waiting for a transferred to CSC confirmation.

If you know then please let me know how long does it usually take for CSC to confirm that my I-129F is in CSC now.

THanks.

I finally gave in and couldn't wait any longer for VSC to get their act together and send me the NOA-1 for the I-130. I sent in the 129F paperwork last Friday (July 6th) to CSC.

I must be missing something, are all the K3 cases being sent from the NBC to the CSC now? or some going to CSC some going to VSC??? whatever happened to NBC approves and forwards it to the NVC? Do you ever feel like if people outside the visa journey read this ####### they would think we were some undercover militia group speaking in code?

I must be missing something, are all the K3 cases being sent from the NBC to the CSC now? or some going to CSC some going to VSC??? whatever happened to NBC approves and forwards it to the NVC?

Petitions being forwarded to CSC and VSC began before I started the process in March. Here is a news release:

CSC Update for I-130 Cases

The Texas and Nebraska Service Centers will be forwarding their new I-130s to the California Service Center for processing. These cases will receive CSC receipts, and, in this case to check processing time on the applications, applicants should monitor the processing time reports for California, rather than for the service center that transferred the cases. Filings should continue to be made at the service center having regular jurisdiction, and that service center will forward the cases to CSC. The arrangement with respect to NSC cases is expected to be temporary, but may be permanent as regards TSC.

In addition, TSC will be transferring pending immediate relative I-130s and family-based I-130s with current priority dates to California. CSC will not be issuing receipts on these, but applicants should receive a transfer notice indicating that the case has been shipped if it is transferred. Once the case is transferred, processing times for CSC, not TSC will apply.

Do you ever feel like if people outside the visa journey read this ####### they would think we were some undercover militia group speaking in code?

Not really, I remember the use of acronyms back in the 1970s. Each field or profession seems to have their own definitons.

Hi Pkewl,

No, I am still waiting to get confirmation that CSC actually has received my case. I am going to call them to try to get more details. It seems everyone else go an email and a status change in about a week or so. Mine still just says that it was transferred on the website and no touches or changes since that initial transfer email.

THanks.

Pkewl

Hi Urge..

Thanks for your reply.. now this makes atleast two of us who have been waiting (im)patiently for the CSC to confirm the receipt of our cases... btw, I see the same thing since the MSC update.. meaning no more updates/touches since the last MSC tranferred update.. Today will make it two weeks for me since the last CRIS update of my case being transferred to CSC... Anyhow, I 'll give them a few more days... maybe end of this week and will give them a call on Monday, if no update by then.. or maybe this Fri.. if I become really impatient and restless :)

Once again, thanks for the reply and pls let me know if there is any update in your case..

Good Luck and tc,

Pkewl
