You can register the number online and schedule your interview online if you have a account setup. If not you can call and schedule you interview and give the receipt number.

The Embassy's website can help you. https://ua.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/how-to-apply/

I'm not sure about the steps for calling, we did everything online.

I am not sure I have my receipts (me and son) registered, but I did input them to my online profile when I tried to schedule the interview. That is, if you want to schedule the interview, the system would ask you for the receipt number. I wanted my interview to happen in March, March slots are not yet open (called and confirmed), so I am not sure my receipts numbers were saved. Anyway, the embassy encourages to schedule the interview through the call center. What you absolutely should do, is store your receipt safely, it is very important that you will have the number at hand whenever it is necessary.

I logged on into my profile, so there is no visible receipt number on it, but if you have entered it once when trying to schedule the interview, it is stored somehow and automatically retrieved when necessary.

If I remember correctly I was able to view it somehow on our ustraveldocs.com account. I know you can see the receipt number in the appointment history tab, I just checked ours but we already completed the interview process.

A tip for others.

We did schedule online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com

We looked at the days available. Originally we were going to take a 1/29 appointment but we didn't, she wanted to check her work schedule. The next day we checked again and 1/22 was available and we scheduled this day.

All I can guess is a appointment was cancelled. So I think when a cancellation happens you can see them online.

You can also see the amount of appointments available for each day (this gives you a mental picture of how fast things are moving). There was plenty of appointments available for the weeks of 1/27 & 2/3, we weren't worried about waiting a day or two to schedule our appointment.

You will not be able to proceed with receipt/interview unless you have submitted your DS-160, because you will need the confirmation number. As soon as you have the DS-160 confirmation, KEV number and receipt number, you are good to go and see the February slots. March isn't open yet.

Hello, Moscow embassy question:

in attempting to pay the $265 visa fee online for my fiancé, I assumed that she was the “applicant” but, then the site automatically put her name for the credit card information

so, can someone walk me through this so I don’t lose my $265 if I make a mistake?

All I remember was that the only thing I put in of Anastasia's was her birthday, so I was a bit worried about how it would get connected to her, but she got told she was approved after her interview yesterday so I guess everything was fine.

This was about six weeks ago. Must be getting old.
