Hello everyone,

My husband had his interview on Dec 12th. Embassy asked him to submit joint sponsor papers. We submitted right after interview. Then received an email 3 weeks later to submit i864As of my parents and a new i864. The last case update is 22Jan. I have not heard from the embassy. The date isn’t changing either. Can someone tell me why that is? Is anyone in the same situation or was?

Some consulates take longer to process documents than others.  I would not be surprised if you case undergoes a significant time of administrative processing.....good luck.

Case status shows as refused since after the inteview. The embassy asked for joint sponsor papers only.

Then they are still processing the new joint sponsor documents.

I agree with you, the wait has caused me anxiety and depression. It’s mentally/emotionally draining

You have to give them some times to review your files and case , when i submit my documents after they request to me took me a least 3 month  before they call me for finger print and oath , so be patient u will hear good news soon . good luck

Did you send them an email or called asking if all the documents they required were received?

I inquired on Friday, hoping that they’ll reply back. My case has updated twice after I submitted documents, last update was Jan 22nd.

Why is oath and fingerprints required? I submitted my documents 5 weeks ago. My case is CR1. What’s your case category and case status? Mine shows refused.
