My fiancé was interviewed a week ago in Islamabad for KI visa. After an extensive friendly interview, the VO congratulated my fiancé and said your visa has been approved and you will get it from the Courrier service in 7 to 10 days. No 221 g or any other slip was given. The VO did not mention any AP at all. We have not received any notification for visa pick up since 7 days. When i check Ceac website for visa status it says it is in AP. What does it mean?  Even the VO did not mention any AP and simply congratulated and said visa approved and u will get it in 7 to 10 days.... it can still be send to AP? Can someone advise pkease. Thank you.

Everyone goes though AP after the interview. It's just a matter of time before your visa will be printed and issued. There is nothing you can do but wait now.

As another member mentioned, everyone goes through AP of some type, can just be the embassy finalizing things. AP generally can be 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, even 1+ years. Some members on here recently were at 18+ months in AP.

Hearing approval is good, now have to be patient as AP is open ended and can be quick or can take some time. And not to worry you, anything found(background checks, security checks, ect) can void an approval also; but don't think this is too common.

Hi guys. thank you. So today the status for my fiancé on Ceac site changed to READY. From AP. However , surprisingly, underneath it states its ready for an interview at the consulate. But the interview was done already. And previous status was AP. I don’t understand this... lol. What’s happening now?  And the case created date has changed as well as Case updated date has changed to feb 9th. Can someone help please?  Desperate.... Is it a bad thing if it says READY?
