K1 approved Algeria!

For anyone going through Algiers on a K1, just wanted to say my fiance was approved and the visa is being printed now.

The officer was nice and professional.  We did have a couple of red flags, but my fiance answered all the officer's questions very well and we sent a lot of evidence in the beginning and at the interview.  One of the extra questions the officer asked is how many bedrooms I have in my home, and my fiance knows, of course.

The officer kept his passport but  he did get a 221g to send extra proof how we met on Facebook, like the friend request, so if you met on Facebook, please remember to send that with your initial petition or bring it to the interview!

He sent the proof to the embassy the next day and it took 15 days in AP for them to approve his visa and the CEAC website change from Immigrant to Non-Immigrant, so not too bad.

In all, this embassy and staff are very good and professional, they even answered our emails in 1-2 days.   Just make sure you have everything they need, including proof exactly how you met each other.

Visa in hand today, he went to Aramex to pick it up, same day CEAC said ISSUED. 😊  even though Ustraveldocs website never updated to show ready for pickup,  He just went after we saw it turned to ISSUED and even Aramex didn't think his passport was there yet, but it was.

Congratulations on your marriage and all the progress so far! My fiance and I are now at the stage where we are preparing to schedule our interview. Can you tell me if you submitted letters from your bank(s) or were bank statements sufficient? Thank you.

Congratulations!!!👍🏻
That was very pleasing to read!
I just wanted to ask some questions regarding the evidence if it's possible.
Since I'm applying from Algiers/Algeria, and we did an engagement party here, and my fiancée is somewhat related to my family.

- I wonder if we need to translate Gifts/Travel receipts from Arabic/French to English? Do the original receipts needs to be signed by the Bus/Train Station?

- Do you think sending no more than 10 pictures together will be an issue (Since she couldn't stay for a long time because of their work -All the family was here)?

Thank you in Advance!
