Hi I am wondering if anyone knows where we can buy Packaging material around the BGC area, I am bringing my Fiancee's Sewing Machine back with me to the states in my checked in luggage, Its a heavy Industrial Sewing Machine head though. About 31kg. So I was thinking Styrofoam would be good for insulation. The place we have really looked is National, I am thinking maybe I can go to the Uratex warehouse as well to see if they have a stiffer foam i can buy...Or maybe cut up an old foam mattress.... Anyways If anyone has any idea where i could get anything that might help, please let me know here. Thank you. :)

Curious is it 220v or 110v? Might be cheaper to purchase a used commercial sewing machine here than having that converted

Hmm Perhaps, the Machine is actually way more expensive in the US, but maybe I we can find a deal in time.

One little trick I learned is to find a LBC, and pay them to wrap it and box it. And then you take it as carryon or checked luggage

I shipped a cellphone from Manila to Davao City as I was leaving the country, they put so much bubble wrap on it and so much tape, I think the airplane could of ran over the box with the cellphone in it and it would of been ok

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

it is way more expensive. i search once and the use machine is too expensive than new machine in ph which is the same brand(juki/singer "best brand i ever use in Philippines) but its depends to which is convenient to you guys. if its cheaper to take it to the US and bring you no hassle then just go with it and maybe do the lbc trick like what @Chris Duffy said hehe

You need to be careful about the weight (32kg max) as well as dimensions (158 cm) length + width + height.

YMMV

You gonna love this one.

I am shipping a Milwaukee Cordless Weedeater to Davao city from Dallas Texas, it like 7 x 9 x 73 inches, gonna pay $310 for it via BB

Then I am shipping 30x30x30 BB box and that is costing $280 full of US goodies
