Questin about original documents required for interview

Hi everybody !!

 

I am excited to say that we have received our CR1  interview date for Jan 25 !!       

 

I am a bit confused with regards to the Joint sponsers documents required for the interview with regards to original versus photocopies as I seem to have seen different things even on the government pages.  

 

 

Do I need the originals of all my joint sponsers financial docs ( i 864 tax transcripts, w2s support docs etc...)   or is it ok to bring photocopies. I am currently outside the

country with my wife and my joint sponser in is in California which is why it is a little  more  complicated to get the originals ( although not impossible).

In reality there are only photocopies of those documents.  The I-864 can also be a printed or photocopy.

My husband brought photocopies of all supporting docs for the joint sponsor's I-864 to his interview last week and had no issues (we received the visa and this was never brought up as an issue). 

 

However, we did have originals of the signature page for the joint sponsor's I-864. It would be a good idea to get this, if you can.
