Moroccan k1 applicants

Quick question, for Moroccan K1 applicants. After completing the DS160, do we go ahead and pay the fee? Also, is the appointment booked online or via email with the consulate? Lastly, how soon after the NVC letter saying your application was being sent to the embassy did you receive p3?

Sorry for all the questions, just seeing a lot of different information.

Thanks in advance!!

The only fee you pay is the $265 fee paid at the consulate on the day of the interview.

The interview will be set up by the consulate. In order to get the interview scheduled, you will need to email the consulate (IVCasablanca@state.gov) and tell them you are requesting a date for your K1 visa interview. The email should contain the first and last names and birth dates of both the petitioner and beneficiary. The USCIS receipt number (WAC....) and the NVC case number (CSB...) should also be included. It can take them anywhere between 1 day and several weeks to respond. I'd email them once or twice a week until they respond with the date and packet of instructions on what needs to be done and brought to the interview.

Here some additional information to use with what you learned from @RJandHamid

Once you get a case number, you can fill out the DS 160 online. Print the confirmation page for this once completed.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things,  at NVC, In Transit, or Ready. Once your case shows "Ready" then you email the consulate and request an interview. Include your name, fiancés name, case number and that you're looking to schedule a K1 Fiance Visa interview. I heard they'll email you back within 2 weeks or so but some have heard back the same day that they sent the email.

When they email you back they'll tell you when your appointment is. Attached will be packet 3. Includes a list of doctors to choose from for the medical , your rights and your appointment letter. At that point - just get your papers together. Usually your fiancé gets the police records in a week. Court records same day. Celabecy letter same day. And birth cert in the same day. Once you have them, then dropped them off to be translated. Picked them up in a week. Already you're at 2 weeks for gathering the fiancés paperwork. On top of that make sure your fiancé sends you their documents (I-134, proof of relationship, taxes, pay stubs, letter from employer, updated letter of intent..).

Can someone please help? I am at the same point. I've received my letter from the NVC that indicated it was in the process of being sent to the Casablanca consulate. I helped my fiance fill out form DS 160. At what point do we hear back from the embassy?  The USA traveldocs website never allows me to select K visa (does not display) and I am trying to pay my fee so I can schedule the interview. Based on the comments I see you have to fill out an email is there anything else I can do on my end to get my fiance the interview?

@Elijah Finch you don't need to pay anything online to schedule the interview. The only fee K1 applicants need to pay is $265 in person at the consulate on the day of the interview. Casablanca does not allow you to schedule the interview through traveldocs, so you need to email them (follow the steps outlined above).
