Hmm, interesting. Does I-485 Part 2 #5.a. to 5.h. match I-131 Part 1 #2.b. to 2.i.? It might be too late but I found this old post:

I was about to tag @B-2-Z for further input, but they haven't logged in for almost 9 months. @geowrian, have you seen this before? Any input?

The I-131 is an awfully designed form. IDK why USCIS doesn't have a US mailing address option on the I-131.

Can't say I have personally seen this either. As for a response, I would include a letter stating your physical address is [abc] and you receive mail at a PO box located at [xyz]. they aren't asking for evidence of where you live...just clarification on the addresses.

I just got the same RFE saying "Please provide the physical address of your residence and your mailing address."

What I don't understand is that they were able to send the RFE to my physical and mailing address...which is the same on all the forms I have submitted...so do I just write a letter reaffirming my address?

Do you guys have a P.O. Box? For us we had a P.O. Box address so stated that as mailing address and also stated our real address when it asked for "physical address."

when we got an RFE we decided to restate in a letter that we had a physical address and a P.O. box but to avoid confusion we would change both addresses on the travel document to our physical address. We sent a letter and an updated travel document and got approved.

See that's the weird thing! We only have one address for our physical and mailing. So I just wrote a letter restating that the addresses were the same and reconfirming the address. I just find it weird that the RFE is for my address, yet they were able to mail the RFE to the correct address.....?!?!

What do you mean you sent an updated travel document?

We just changed the mailing address to the physical address (both the non-po box address) on the I-131 printed it out and sent with the explanation letter.

If you only have one address what you did should work assuming AOS and I-131 are the same.

Hello Can i ask a quick question? You mentioned you changed both addresses on the travel document to physical address. But i noticed the 131 only ask for physical address, do you mean you just put your physical address on 131 form and for the mailing question on 131, “Where do you want this travel document sent? (Check one), you just select "To the U.S. address shown in Part 1 (2.a through 2.i.) of this form"--- which is your physical address, is that correct?

Also may i ask did you change your 485's mailing address to physical address as well in the end? Or you only changed your 131 address? You still put PO box for your 485 mailing address and put your actual physical address for your 485 physical address ?

i am very confused about 485 and 131 mailing address.

The mailing address provided for my Form I-485 is my friend's house.

(because previously I put my own apartment address, but the apartment number was consistently truncated...). But the physical address for Form I-485 is written as my own apartment address.

I plan to apply for Form I-131 Advance parole recently, but looking at Form I-131, it only asks for the physical address, and it can only be mailed to the physical address.

I am wondering is it okay if the mailing address for Form I-131 is different from the mailing address for Form I-485? (But I will make sure that the physical addresses are the same.)

Thank you.
