Police Certificate

Good Morning,

I am in the process of waiting for my NVC case number but looking to be proactive and gather all paperwork needed for the next process. I know we will need to have a police certificate for the interview portion however, my fiance believes you have to pay a "tax" in order to get it. I understand there will be a fee to obtain the certificate. The amount he is finding online he has to pay is significant and I cannot imagine that being accurate. Can anyone advise me where in the Dominican Republic he will need to go to get this certificate and how much it is?

Also if anyone has a link to a site that explains what the next process with the NVC is, if anything is needed for them or if they just provide a case number, then submit to the embassy in the Dominican Republic.

Any advisement is appreciate.

The police ceratification, reporte de buena conducta, is obtained online at this site:  https://portal.servicios.pgr.gob.do/?sinPermiso=True

You must pay the fee (500 pesos) at Ban Reservas first, and enter the receipt number.

The report is then emailed to you.  It is valid for one year from date of issuance.

Be proactive call NVC to obtain your case and invoice number. This will allow you to pay your fees online. You will be able to pay it once the system lets you.

You will also receive an email with the case / invoice number instructing you what you need to do. Emails usually come in the middle of the night. Well for me it has and I have seen on the website for others as well.

Thank You all, I informed him what he needed to do, so we are going to get that taken care of. Does this need to be translated to English by any chance?

Your post is hard to understand because you didn't quote anyone so it's hard to ascertain the topic you are answering. I just want to let you know that there are ways to help others understand your entry.

Below someone's entry they have two items (see picture) that will help you in your reply. #1 is used for multiple selections of others who have posted and #2 is for a single copy of the post you want to reply to.

So if I want to quote more than two people then I would select #1 under each of their posts. Then down in the right corner you have a pop that you select and it opens another reply window with both quotes. If you only want to select one entry from another member then you would use #2 for that purpose. I hope this helps.
