I have a simple question it’s driving me crazy it says to have a statement from a officer of the bank does this mean I need bank statements for the year or can someone at the bank just type a letter with all the information requested.

you dont have to have a letter from the bank at all, unless you are using bank assets to qualify financially. As long as the income meets the guidelines, all you need are tax returns, pay stubs and letter from employer.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

So the petitioner can just fill in page 3 of i134 ,income and asset information, 4~9 with "0"? If the petitioner fills in the sum of $,shouldn't they provide the documents to prove them?I have my fiance's 3 years tax returns(it's pretty high ), employment letter, bank statement, 401k but I'm still waiting for the other saving account paper. His company gave him a letter to state he has a life insurance but they didn't describe how much it is🤔.My interview will be on Nov.6.I'm so nervous

if youre not using the assets, you dont have to list them. just list N/A. if you list them, then you need documentation.

you can have bank or financial statements ready but again, if you are not using those assets, and havent listed the amounts, there is no need to, assuming previous taxes and current income is sufficient. If it is borderline then I would use/include other assets.

Yeah I don’t have any assets I have a house and car but they are both not in my name I have all my pay stubs for the year and my tax returns also a employment letter so this means I’m ok? It just freaks me out because it says on the affidavit instructions to have it. I called uscis they are seriously no help they told me to get an attorney 😐

because they cant give legal advice.

yes. previous years tax returns, employment letter, current pay stubs (I'd go back a few months) should suffice as long as it meets the minimum income requirements. Owning a house or a car, or having investments or savings, is not required.

Oh ok thanks I’m just so nervous it’s been such a long journey and I don’t wanna blow it right here in the end. I’m dying to get this interview date I haven’t seen him in 5 months...

as long as you make enough and have had steady income, its pretty simple. if your income is close to the minimum, you may want to consider having a co sponsor on standby (have the forms and documents completed before hand and have your fiance have them at the interview just in case)

MINUMUM EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
