So we had our interview last week oct 10 we are missing w2s and passport biopage of our Co sponsor which is my father in law. My question here is anybody out here who got an instruction that after you completed the missing document you have to sent back to the embassy by 2go along with the missing documents with your passport in it? They gave me back my passport and said to mail it back to them along with missing documents. Is there anybody here experience this? And how long did you wait? If it’s only taxes that’s been missing. We just sent in the missing document last weekend. TIA

Once you send everything in then it should not be long at all after that. Did you send in your passport as well?

That is SOP for responding to a 221g request for documents.

Follow the instructions .. once the embassy receives the documents it can be another 5-10 business days on average.

We submitted our 221g requirements via 2go October 1, embassy received it October 5. Status changed to "Ready" October 17 and today October 18, it was finally changed to "Issued." So it took them about two weeks to review our documents :)

Congrats is your visa being issued!

Receiving a 221g for missing documents quite often add 2 weeks to the processing time over and above the 5-10 days most normally see after the interview.

Thank you, Hank! It took a while but we're pretty excited about it finally being issued, can't wait to get my packet!

Congrats! If I may ask what’s your missing document? Lol today I checked mine and it  was updated oct 17 so someone look over it yesterday.

We had to give additional proof of domicility, part of which was a job offer or employment contract for my USC spouse. Just be patient and keep checking everyday :)
