NVC taking more than 30 days - K1 visa

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you here has an experience where NVC took more 30days on processing?

My fiancé’s K1 visa petition was approved last Sept 12th. And we received a letter from USCIS on the 15th. It says on the letter that NVC only take 2-4 weeks on processing before it forwards our documents to my Embassy/consulate.

Unfortunately, it’s October 12th already and we haven’t gotten anything from them yet. Don’t get me wrong, I know things needs to be shipped and it usually takes a few days.

But my fiancé called them today and after being on hold for 15mins, the NVC representative only said “they cannot give timeline”.

Has anyone experience this? Any suggestions too? I will highly appreciate your replies!

Yes, we were stuck there for nearly two months a while back. We were in AP. They sometimes subject petitions to further scrutiny there. There were a couple of quite long older threads about this, but I don't know how current the times are at the moment.

Second thread is here :

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
