Where to fill PH or SG

Is good to remember this useful forums after so long.

 

I have a question.
My girlfriend is from Philippines and is currently working in Singapore as her friend kid nurse, her contract will expire in 02/2020 but her friend has no problem letting her go earlier if her k1 gets approved, so my question is where should i fill the F-129, to the Singapore embassy or the one in manila?

The I-129F will be filed at the US lockbox in Texas then sent to CSC for processing.

 

The typical timeline is ~8-12 months right now for a K-1 visa, so most likely she will be interviewing in Singapore.

ahh ok i thought i had the select the embassy where i want the papers to be send to overseas, also a quick question the F-129 from the USCIS says that its expired on the top right corner. "08/31/2018" Can i still use this one?

You will list the desired embassy/consulate on the I-129F. But it is still filed in the US.

 

That's the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) expiration date. USCIS accepts forms based on their Edition Date in the lower left corner. Note this is not an expiration date..it's when the form came out.

Asian

There is a small minority that may say Pacific Islander, but the overwhelming majority of people would say Asian.

What to put as your fiancee's current home address and embassy location is up to you on the I-129F.      Do make sure to use the current address in the location you plan to complete the visa application, plus list the embassy of choice.     NVC tends to look at current the beneficiary address rather than embassy location on the I-129F for sending the case file to which embassy so do make sure to use her mailing address in that country

As long as you get the form directly from the USCIS website you will have the current form.

Just for your wife I kept searching... and I found this, which classifies the Philippines as southeast asia.  National Geographic has to be correct .. right!?    I guess that makes it official, the Philippines is Asian .. not pacific islander (apologies to your wife)

I've seen it both ways. Most people I spoke with didn't really care. Some did. I married one who did. haha

Same here my wife says Asian even though she is pinay and looks Hispanic.
