I just don't understand why this should be a "norm" when it's not the way all cultures behave. My husband is from India and most people are virgins when they get married, not like here. I am more Indian than American in these kinds of issues I guess, I don't fit in with the everyday American idea of sex at all. I think people should wait until they are married to have sex, it's worth it and most ppl who waited probably never regret not having sex before that with different people. Sex is a wonderful thing, nothing to be ashamed of...but should occur in a marriage. I know most people will think I'm in the wrong era!

I know it's hard to stay a virgin in America these days and whoever can make it has my respect. But some people really wanted to wait but weren't able to, and may feel ashamed, and they would feel badly if I bragged about it.
