We contacted our local congressman's office and submitted an inquiry. It took 3 weeks to get something back from the USCIS and surprisingly it was the exactly same answer (Your case is within normal processing time) that we got through phone calls and online chats with the USCIS. It looks like local congressman cannot provide any additional help. Very disappointing.

I got an update about my case as well. New Card Is Being Produced!

It's been 472 days! My USCIS office is in San Francisco, so I thought I will end up waiting much longer. Great news for me! And glad to hear that cases are moving for the other folks as well!

Good luck to those still waiting!

Profile pic - Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village - Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

Had the citizenship interview today.

Recommended for Approval! (Took about 15 mins.  IO was very friendly.)

Now will wait for the oath ceremony date!

Yaaay!

We are ALMOST done!

Good luck to everyone!

Best,

Suze1

Congratulations, how long does it takes from submission of N-400 to interview date. Still waiting for my fingerprints to be taken, or is there no need for bio for N-400?

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

For N-400 Timelines, we referred to VJ's Timeline Stats pages regularly.

Here it is for Tampa & N-400:

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=Tampa+FL&op1=6&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=0

Just change the search criteria to see the timelines for others.

We were jokingly hoping to make the Feb 13th Oath Ceremony, but the IO just laughed and said - "Yeah, No! That ain't gonna happen! hee hee"

Wow congratulations, that was so fast. Still hoping to do biometric, I just filed though. I did biometric for my i751 last October, can they reuse it? Or do I have to redo another?

Hey Prok,

Thanks, Buddy!

Yeah, they like doing biometrics, right? They seem to do them whenever you show up.  haa haa

Yeah, did the bio for the ROC. Still, have to do 'em again for N-400.

They did them twice for N-400, like I mentioned earlier.

Yeah, talk about fast! N-400 is nothing like ROC. ROC takes forever and moves SO SLOW.

N-400 is like - "Here...do this.... do that... see ya next month!!!"

So, don't sweat it...just let them do what they do.

It will be over soon enough.

Tampa seems to be very busy. They have an oath ceremony on Feb 13th and March 6th. Said forget about the 13th, and MAYBE the first or second one in March.

My IO was very friendly. Just be cordial up front, and they can warm up to you. We were cracking jokes at the end as we walked back to the waiting area.

Soon, my friend, soon, for you.

Peace!

Hello to you all, my daughter (from previous marriage) was on our petition. Her ROC is approved and we got her green card. How long do you think it takes for me to get it after her?

CONGRATS!

We actually got our green card BEFORE we got the letter telling us that we were approved for the green card!!!

The card arrived first, and the letter arrived second. So...hee hee

Took just a couple of days for the green card to get to us, based on the date specified on the letter.

So, SOON for your daughter. No worries.
