Hello, I'm in the process of removing condition on residence to get my 10-year green card. My green card will expire in the middle of January and I have submitted my form I-751 since the end of October and got the confirmation that USCIS received our case in the beginning of November but I still haven't gotten the receipt. I read that it approximately takes 3-5 weeks to get the receipt. It's already been 8 weeks now and I'm getting nervous. Does anyone also experience the same thing? I filed at Texas Service Center.

Seems like we have the same time line but here is my.package was received earlier November.it was transferred 2 days later to Lin.received Aos one month later.recently received my bio appointment for next mont.you should call uscis and request that the send you a copy of your extension later as you haven’t gotten it.thats what I did and I received it one week after I called them.good luck please always share how yours is going let’s comfort every body in this long process.

Lol this post was since 6 months ago. I already got my receipt (after 2 months, 3 phone calls) and now still waiting for biometric which will probably take a year if I'm lucky. Godspeed to all of us.

It's common. A ton of people received the bio appt letter after being told that old bio will be reused

This is how my status looks like. My biometrics were completed at the end of November. No news since that time.

Thank you. All I have is we received your finger print fee in the USCIS website. I guess it is waiting game at this point. I hope it does not take more than a year, and they don't require an interview at least.

I just hanged up from a call

I called two weeks ago and they said you can't see your case because of an error need to be fixed

But status was that finger prints were reviewed

Now I call they said it's system glitch for those who applied after June 2018

So I must call whenever I want to know about updates

And now update is that they are doing a background check and will be making a decision within 17 months!!!

Is that good or bad ?!

It is weird indeed! I suggest you call them to clarify. And I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else!
