Text and Email Notfication

Hello All,

 

When I apply for I 130  ,9 months back, I filled a form to get Text and Email notification about any changes to case  in USCIS.

 

I received and email and text notification for the first time during NOA 1 and Never receive any update via email or text after NOA 2 .

 

Does that mean that NVC will not send me any update on email ?

The G-1145 is only for electronic notification of receipt. To get subsequent electronic notifications, you need to signup on either their eGov or DHS websites for notifications:

Does it also help to track NVC process as well if I sign up? DO I need to sign up separately for my Mom and Dad. I am doing IR5 file so.. Thank you

Unfortunately, no. Once the case is at NVC, the USCIS case numbers no longer have much use in terms of tracking the case (NVC is part of DOS...this is the handoff between departments).

 

You should get a welcome letter from NVC for each case. You can also manually track the case online at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx. I'm unaware of any method to get automatic notifications at this stage or later, although they do tend to be better (IMO) at notifying you of changes.

You can call nvc and ask for any updates.

 I got my notice of NOA2 in email

and my 4 page notice of appointment date and the checklistfor needed documents to bring to interview (2015)

never got a letter in mail for notification except the original I 797 receipt
