He has a second passport?

I know people who have had 2. Not sure if you need a valid reason.

I meant if he has another nationality so he has a passport from another country.

It is possible to get a second British passport in very limited circumstances. This doesn’t sound like a valid one. And applying for a second passport is likely to take longer than the embassy has the original passport for. I got mine back 7 days after the interview. Unless the applicant is in extended AP, it’s unlikely to take more than 10 days to get the passport.

It shouldn’t take long to get his passport back. Seems illogical to consider a 2nd passport. How does that even work if your son has a POE and has possession of 2 UK passports with only the visa in one passport? Might work but seems crazy to me.

Recently; my interview was last Friday 09/21 and my status changed to issued yesterday; and as others have said London doesn’t take that long. I’m kinda expecting my passport next week. I’d highly recommend getting your son to wait it out/delaying his trip to the EU. London’s a great and efficient embassy :)

Can my son travel to Europe, whilst the passport is still at the USA embassy in London? Any ideas?

Idea: Don't leave the passport at the interview. Send it by the courier after returning from Europe.
