Good evening, I recently order copies of my report of marriage that was originally done through PCG Los Angeles through the online PSA website, as most Filipino forms require one ffrom the PSA instead of the consularized one a year after being processed. Anyone have any experience doing this and having them delivered to the US without any complications?

I had my ROM delivered from Manila to Boston, it took about 3 weeks using Philpost. I followed question #17 under DOCUMENT APPLICATION/RELEASE in their FAQ page. https://www.psaserbilis.com.ph/Secure/FAQs.aspx

You can also email records-director@oca.dfa.gov.ph if the ROM returned to you by the consulate doesn't reflect the reference number, dispatch number, etc as required in the FAQ.

Now that PSA has the new payment system in place you can get this done online.   DYNB gave you the link

PhilPost is the only option?    ...  with them delivery is optional.

Can't request FedEx or such?

Nope, it is Philpost that is it unfortunately. Luckily I just ordered just because and not because we need them right away.

We still have a backlog of mail from Hurricane Florence so hopefully it is in the backlog somewhere.

Sorry, please forgive the dumb question: Is the original ROM that we have no longer valid after one year? I thought it did come from PSA (filed at the Hawaii Consulate), but it was 5 years ago. Am I missing something? Do we need to order more copies?

Yes, it is still valid after one year. I am just ordering extra copies of my wife's birth certificate.

Depends on the consulate. Like for LA, it says after a year you need the rom from the PSA and not the consulate

Your ROM filing is good FOREVER.  The document that was returned from the consulate has a time limitation for being acceptable,  if a certificate of marriage is needed for any process in the Philippines you would need to get a "fresh" copy from PSA.
