Depends on the basis for your EAD. Assuming this is an EAD due to a pending I-485, no fee is necessary.

? They just need to file an I-765. The existing EAD will be automatically extended for 180 days, and upon approval they will issue a new EAD valid for 1 year. No need for an infopass appointment, nor can they do anything about it.

My wife is waiting for her adjustment of status.  Originally it said 8 months now it is 2 to 3 years last time I looked.   

 What about Advanced Parol?  If we file for it now we would need to pay right?  3 years is a long time for her not to see her family.  They recently denied her mom's tourist visa. She had planned to come visit after Christmas.

No payment needed....send a copy of the I-485's NOA1 in lieu of payment.
