Your obligation to sponsor the beneficiary ends after they’ve been working for a certain amount of time pr until they become an American citizen. It’s eay longer than 6 months. So your household for this visa petition will be at least three people: you, your wife, and your sister-in-law.

hi

if you were planning to file for your wife and didn't make enough to cover both of them, you shouldn't have been a joint sponsor.

unless she becomes a citizen in over 3 years if your brother is a US Citizen, dies, abandons her GC or works 40 quarters. the responsibilities of being a sponsor or joint sponsor are included in the i864 instructions

you will have to get a second job, a better job, or use assets to overcome the difference, as you will now have to include your sister in law as part of your household size
