Hello everyone. Am new on this forum. I filed for my 1-751 removal of condition since December 2016 from Houston Texas to California NBC. Did biometric Jan 2017. Got a mail for RFE on 6/22/18 which I replied to. Got an update on 8/8/18 that the case has been transferred to the local office. Got an update on 8/10/18 that the case has been transferred to NBC Lee Summit Missouri and that the center now has jurisdiction over the case. Just got a letter on 8/16/18 in my mail box that they have concluded preliminary review of my case and they are gonna schedule me for an interview. Am at a loss. Don’t really know what’s going on. Can someone enlighten me about these. Thanks.

First order of business, if you haven't already done this, go to this link and create an account. There you will find a full record of your case including sent documents, etc. If you're relying on postal mail, only, you could have something get lost or delayed in the mail that could cause you to miss an important deadline:

Second, your case is outside the normal processing times. They have transferred many California service center cases to other places such as the NBC in Missouri, as they try to relieve their backlog. For example, many people who filed in April 2017, as I did, are now getting approvals, RFE's and interviews. It sounds like you're getting all of these, too, in just one case. I would watch your online account (once created) like a hawk and make sure you attend your interview once you find out when and where it is. Make sure you take all of your evidence to your interview. If your green card is through a spouse, then you'll need to take your spouse too.

Good luck.
